Come & Go Vietnam launches first-ever luxury package
ONE of Vietnam’s leading inbound tour operators, Come & Go Vietnam, has launched its first dedicated luxury itinerary to cater to growing interest in the country from high-end travellers.
Once seen primarily as a budget to mid-range destination, Vietnam has moved upscale in recent years – a development reflected in its growing portfolio of gourmet restaurants and luxury resorts.
This trend has prompted Come & Go, a British-run tour operator based in Ho Chi Minh City, to introduce a luxury-focused itinerary.
The 14-day/13-night Luxury Vietnam package takes customers on a north to south journey across the capital Hanoi, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Halong Bay, the imperial city of Hue, the ancient seaport of Hoi An and the Mekong Delta before ending in the southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City. The tour can also be conducted in the opposite direction.
Along the way, guests will stay in top-end properties such as Hanoi’s Sofitel Metropole Hotel, the Nam Hai resort in Hoi An, and Ho Chi Minh City’s Park Hyatt hotel.
Meanwhile, guests can also sample local and international cuisine at renowned dining locations such as Restaurant Bobby Chinn and chef Didier Corlou’s La Verticale.
“We’ve launched the itinerary to reflect the growing number of requests we’re receiving for upscale programmes,” said Tim Russell, director of Come & Go Vietnam. “Luxury travel is the tourism industry’s fastest-growing sector and that applies to Vietnam as much as anywhere else.”
“We find that mid-range travellers are making their own independent travel arrangements,” he added. “Luxury travellers tend to be cash-rich and time-poor and are thus happy to pay experts to take the time putting tours together for them.”
