Muslim tours record strong growth
FASCINATING Holidays’ tours targeting Muslim consumers have been growing in demand.
“We have seen a 50 to 60 per cent increase in the number of Muslim travellers since we started these tours in April,” said the agency's president and CEO, David Teo.
The tours to destinations that Muslim travellers would not typically consider, such as Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, require additional research to identify halal restaurants and attractions that would appeal to them, said Teo.
“For instance, our tours to Tokyo include a stop at a historical mosque that was built by a Turkish community,” he said.
Teo added that the agency's Muslim tours were also sold to other travel agencies.
