New Danang - Dalat flights launched
VIETNAM Airlines has reinstated services between Danang and Dalat after a 13-year hiatus, a move that is expected to encourage extended holidays and an increase in golf vacations in the two destinations.
The airline will operate 70 seat ATR72 aircraft on the hour-long route every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Danang and Dalat are linked to with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City's international airports via multiple daily flights.
Dalat Palace Golf Club general manager Antoine Drappier said: The time is right to restart (this service) because Danang now has what only Dalat had before, and that's truly great golf. From that standpoint, it's only natural to link the destinations.
Jon Tomlinson, general director of Montgomerie Links, a designer golf course in Danang, believed that Danang as a destination will really take off once its new international airport terminal opens end of this year.
