From cherry blossoms to nemophila, spring in Ibaraki is the season of flowers

1. SHIBAZAKURA FLOWERS AT USHIKU DAIBUTSU

A beautiful space is created from the image of Buddha and shibazakura flowers.
The garden around the world's largest bronze statue of Ushiku Daibutsu (up to 120m in height) is known as a famous flower-viewing spot. This is where you can admire seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms, cosmos flowers or hydrangea flowers.
The shibazakura flowers are in full bloom every April. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the flower fields and the towering Buddha statue.

2. CHERRY BLOSSOM PATH ON HILL HITACHI FUDOKI

You will fall in love with the spectacular view of the path filled with weeping cherry blossoms

Hill Hitachi Fudoki is also a famous viewing spot for cherry blossoms. It features the largest lion head-shaped watchtower in Japan. There are more than 500 flowering plants in the area.

Starting from April, you can admire many kinds of cherry blossoms such as Yoshino cherry blossoms, weeping cherry blossoms, or Yaezakura cherry blossoms, etc. You shouldn’t miss the April period, when the weeping cherry blossoms and the Yaezakura blossoms are in bloom. 3. NEMOPHILA FLOWERS IN HITACHI SEASIDE PARK (HITACHINAKA SHI)

You must see it at least once in a lifetime! The space is filled with the blue of the nemophila hill.
About 5.3 million branches of nemophila flowers are in bloom on Miharashi Hill. They create a very special scene. The nemophila flower field stretches to the horizon. And it is well-known among and praised by tourists from abroad as well as in Japan.

The most beautiful flowering season lasts for about 2 weeks. So do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the one-color space of blue created from nemophila flowers. They are grown with the love of the local people.
