Impressive Vietnam proposed for extension

The Department of Travel under Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has been asked to extend the Impressive Vietnam tourism promotion campaign past its December 31 deadline, a tourism official said.

Australian Film Roadshow 2008 comes to Vietnam

ASEAN people enjoy one-month visa free travel

People from ASEAN countries can now travel to any country in the region for one month without visas, except for Myanmar, said Malaysia’s Immigration Director-General Mahmood Adam on November 5. Online travel insurance now available in Vietnam

The budget airline Jetstar Pacific has joined forces with AIG Vietnam General Insurance Company (AIG Vietnam) to offer an online travel insurance service, called Jetcover, on its website from November 12. JetCover is the first online travel insurance service to be offered in Vietnam.

Village of Vietnamese ethnic groups to open in 2010

The Culture-Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups will welcome tourists in 2010, coinciding with the 1,000 th anniversary of the country’s capital city - Thang Long-Hanoi. The village covering a total area of over 1,500 ha in the southern part of Dong Mo-Ngai Son Lake is located about 35-40km from the centre of Hanoi.
